Dan Peek died Sunday at age 60. Peek’s website confirms, without much detail but with a nice version of Lonely People.
Although America had a couple of early-’80s hits, its biggest years were from about 1970 to 1975, which is when Peek was with the group. According to the group’s AllMusic bio, Peek left in 1976 to pursue a contemporary Christian career.
Chris Christian produced Peek’s All Things Are Possible, which crossed over the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart (where it got as high as No. 6) and to the main pop-albums chart as well; and Doer of the Word.
